There, see? Its not a major change, but I think it has done wonders . Anyway, heres my first real "Blog-type" post :
I've been working on a project team to upgrade the Customer Information System at my workplace for some months now. I've been working alongside some consultants from the U.S.A. on this, and we're now at the stage where we've brought down some trainers from the company that sells the software. Now the consultants and the trainers are white, and the vast majority of the population of Jamaica are black, right. I'm fairly light skinned myself, but not white. So today, I'm in the elevator and this woman (she must be a new employee, because I don't know her, and I've been there for years) says to me "I've been noticing a lot of caucasians on the building recently, what are you guys all working on?". I replied "We've been installing an upgrade to the Customer Information System.". She then said "Oh, ok. Well, I hope you enjoy your stay in Jamaica." Wow! I immediately replied "I LIVE HERE!". She didn't even notice my accent (which can be rather distinct, if I do say so myself). Come to think of it, she didn't seem to notice the distinction between the skin color of the consultants, the trainers and mine. I guess I've been out of the sun too much. Too much time spent peering at monitors and banging away at keyboards, so hi ho, hi ho, its off to the beach I go. Lime Cay, here I come! Latah, Baybee!

I'm baaa aaaaack! Been away on an extended hiatus. I was working on the Mad Bull's Blog. But I am back. I will really set up this site now... Watch and see.
